I would say that it’s especially tragic, not because of the race of the victims, but because Haiti is the poorest country in the Western hemisphere. How is such a poor country supposed to get back on its feet after such a disaster?

What makes it especially tragic is the economic situation of the province. Mass destruction and death is tragic no matter what the race is. To try in insinuate that some people feel of poorer quality about this tragedy because the people are black says so much more about you than the people you’re tiresome to heap hold responsible upon.

Why should it matter if they are black or colorless? Every life is equally vital no matter what race religion or ethnicity. The leaders of Haiti should be tried in world courts for crimes against humanity!
